This project aims to explore the connection between genocides and ecocides, looking into the notion of the Earth as the source of history and knowledge as well as the method of concealing it. Taking as the starting point the book “Trilobites of Donetsk Basin” published in 1933, when the man-made famine organized by the Soviet regime took millions of lives in Ukraine, it follows interconnections between human and non-human history, nature and science, and human and non-human violence.
